Casas Palmeras Real Estate is now a certified API real estate agency in Spain

Since October 17, 2022, there has been a registration requirement for real estate agents in the Comunidad Valenciana, and this registration must be completed by October 16, 2023. This is in accordance with Decree 98/2022, of July 29, which regulates the Register of Real Estate Agents of the Valencian Community and the requirements for registration.

A new regulation has been introduced in the Valencia/Comunidad Valenciana region (including the provinces of Alicante, Castellón, and Valencia), which will truly signify a "before and after" in the practice of intermediaries or real estate agents in the region.

This new law requires greater knowledge of the profession and activity, as well as a higher degree of involvement and responsibility from all agents involved in real estate transactions in the Valencia region.

As you may know, the profession of real estate agent in Spain is not regulated as it is in other countries like France, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, the USA, etc.

To register as a real estate agent in the Valencia region, one must, among other things, complete a training course and pass an exam that assesses whether they have the necessary knowledge to work as a real estate agent.

This regulation will therefore lead to an improvement in service guarantees for consumers and users.
